Matthew Albert is an animal and civil rights, criminal defense, and personal injury attorney. He embarked on his legal journey in 2007 at the Erie County District Attorney's Office, where he spearheaded a nationwide initiative aimed at dismantling dog fighting rings as a prosecutor.

After transitioning to private practice, Matt continued his advocacy for animals by pursuing civil rights claims in cases involving police officers shooting dogs during search warrants His dedication to this cause led to a series of successful lawsuits against the Buffalo Police Department, significantly reducing dog shootings by law enforcement in Buffalo and beyond.

Through these lawsuits, Matt was also able to fund and open Against All Oddz Animal Alliance, an animal sanctuary and rescue. Opening a sanctuary allowed Matt to combine elements of both law and rescue in making the world more friendly towards our four-legged friends.
