Beginner Spring Carving Classes

Discover the timeless art of woodcarving this spring at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. Our Beginner Carving Classes are designed for those with no prior carving experience or self-taught individuals looking to refine their skills.

This series introduces students to the basics of woodcarving, including:

• Tool safety and sharpening
• Material selection
• Finishing techniques

Each week, participants will complete a new project, exploring both carving in the round and relief carving. The fee includes expert instruction, a take-home tool kit, and all materials needed for the projects. Students are asked to bring a pencil to class.
