ReCAST Project Supports At-Risk Youth and Families in Buffalo
The ReCAST: I Am the Change Project is a community-based initiative supporting at-risk youth, fathers, and families in Buffalo through a culturally responsive approach. Focused on youth and men ages 12 to 30, the project welcomes participants who are enrolled in school, on Medicaid, or living in zip codes 14204, 14208, 14209, 14211, and 14215.
ReCAST offers free mentorship and empowerment groups plus a full lineup of family-friendly events designed to foster connection, growth, and resilience.
Current & Upcoming Events Include:
- Adversity Builds Character Youth Mentoring Group – Every other Saturday
- Men’s Empowerment Group – Second Monday of each month
- 4/12 – Explore & More Family Days
- 4/26 – Fathers and Family Resiliency Symposium
- 5/10 – Buffalo Science Museum Family Day
- 5/17 & 6/28 – Family Fishing Outings
- July – Youth Bowling Event + Family Day at the Park
